Itch Relief for Alopecia

Apr 09, 2019

Alopecia was a rollercoaster. Lots of ups and downs and turns that I couldn't see coming! The issue of itchy scalp was one of the first things I noticed, getting little red bumps and seemingly, follicles trying to make their way back to hair but couldn't. I still get itchy scalp on occasion and always revert back to what has always worked!

For quick relief from itch, try this:

1 teaspoon coconut oil + lavender oil or rosemary oil or both!

Just a small amount of drops of essential oil + coconut oil relieves itch in less than 5 minutes guaranteed on your head.

Add more coconut oil if needed.

Benefits of coconut oil is that its anti fungal and anti bacterial. So perhaps your itch is due to something else, then coconut oil can relieve and help heal the scalp which is skin. Studies on individuals with dry skin show that coconut oil can improve the moisture content of the skin. It can also reduce symptoms of eczema.

Why do I love coconut oil over others?

  • Coconut oil stimulates hair growth getting deep into its follicles.
  • Coconut oil promotes the scalp health fighting against such problems as insect bites, lice and dandruff.
  • Coconut oil moisturizes dry hair.
  • Coconut oil adds luster, shine and softness to the hair.
  • Coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, contributing to hair length.
  • Coconut oil slows down hair loss.
Even now, after my hair has fully grown in, I still get times where my scalp itches, I continue to use the recipe above, easily placed and relieved in matter of minutes.

It's natural and holistic!

I love the lavender, especially at night. I also place essential oils in my shampoo and conditioner so that my head gets more of a good thing for circulation and blood flow when washing my hair. Try it. It's one small step to the overall program that I has helped me and others regain their health and hair!
