Jenny’s Full Hair Growth Story + How I Could Have Prevented Alopecia Altogether

Today I am really excited to be talking about a couple things, but first I wanted to do a little catch up with you. It’s been a while and I’ve been meaning to share a podcast episode that I recorded with one of my clients, Jenny.

She has pictures on our website and on social media of her before and after. She had alopecia areata. She’s a mom of two or three, a working mother in her forties, and this was her first time experiencing alopecia. She had it for about two years before she came into the Hair N’ Heal program.

One of the first things she noticed immediately was that her migraines—she’s had since she was 9 years old—finally went away. Decades of headaches gone. No more migraines.

She also noticed she lost extra weight she had gained in her 40s, about 10–15 pounds. She got back into her skinny jeans and felt like herself again. But most importantly, she got all her hair back.

As you can see in her before-and-after photos, she had multiple patches starting at the top of her head that gradually expanded.

When she came to me, she had already tried medications that didn’t work. She had seen multiple doctors and dermatologists, including JAK inhibitors, but nothing was stopping the progression.

Hair loss is like a forest fire. If you don’t put out the fire, it keeps spreading.

For those who think it will just go away on its own, it usually doesn’t. It needs attention, direction, and action.

Jenny followed that process. Unfortunately, the recording didn’t capture properly, but her results speak for themselves and you can see them on our website and social media.

What stood out about her story is that she had no family history of alopecia, no prior chronic illness, and had lived most of her life healthy and active. She was an athlete, very fit, very busy, and then suddenly in her 40s everything shifted.

It affected her work, her energy, her confidence, even her ability to exercise and do the things she loved.

She has now healed and understands exactly what she needs to do to maintain her results and prevent recurrence.

DNA Testing + Personal Health Blueprint

That leads me into something I’ve recently explored myself: DNA testing through Alopecia Angel, which is available worldwide.

This is not an ancestry test. It is not about where your family is from.

This type of DNA testing looks at how your body functions now and what it needs for optimal health moving forward.

It helps you understand what to eat, how to live, how to recover, and how to avoid future health issues based on your genetics.

If I had to call it anything, it would be a blueprint for your body.

It can help you reduce risks related to chronic conditions like weight gain, fertility issues, autoimmune conditions, cognitive decline, and more.

The test is simple—a saliva swab that you send in, and a few weeks later you receive a full report.

When I reviewed my own results, I honestly thought about how different my life could have been if I had this information at 10 years old. It could have helped me avoid many struggles with weight, health patterns, and even possibly autoimmune alopecia.

And I believe many people—those with alopecia, thyroid issues, or other chronic conditions—could have benefited from this earlier insight as well.

What the DNA Report Shows

This is not a generic diet plan. It is specific to you.

It explains how your body processes food, how you recover, how you detox, how you metabolize carbohydrates, and how your systems function.

It also shows whether your body needs more support in certain areas and how to work with your genetics instead of against them.

You receive a clear, color-coded breakdown:

  • Green: optimal
  • Yellow: needs attention
  • Red: priority support

It also includes insights into fertility, diet, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations tailored to your DNA.

This is important because many people are taking supplements they don’t actually need—or worse, supplements that don’t support their body at all.

It even includes athletic guidance like endurance, speed, injury risk, and recovery patterns.

For children, this becomes especially valuable because it helps guide them toward activities their body naturally thrives in.

There are also deeper insights into nutrient absorption, immune function, behavior patterns, weight tendencies, trigger foods, and more.

You can even explore genes related to detoxification and long-term health risks.

Instead of guessing or saying “this runs in my family,” you can actually understand what is happening biologically and how to support it.

Final Thoughts

Your genes are not your destiny. They are your blueprint.

With the right understanding, you can support your body in powerful ways and potentially prevent long-term health challenges.

For me personally, I believe I could have avoided a large portion of my health struggles if I had access to this earlier in life.

It is never too late to make changes. Healing is a choice, and it starts with awareness and action.

This has been incredibly eye-opening for me, and I’m excited for the clients now receiving their results.

No more guessing. No more confusion. Just clarity and direction.
