Awaken to hair growth. Awaken to hair growth because there is, possibility to get your hair back. Awaken to hair growth because we're not told that we're able to conquer and overcome alopecia. Awaken to hair growth because I want to be a positive light and beacon for you because I've healed my alopecia and now I help others do the same with different types of alopecia, men, women, children, of all ages of all races and ethnicities.

Hi everybody and welcome back to the alopecia angel podcast. I am your host, Johanna, and I wanted to let everybody know that A.) This week is the last week to enter into the raffle. This ends March 1st and also, I will be announcing the winner of the week of March 7th for anyone who wants to potentially win a free entry into the hair and heal program. What do you need to do? Go to the alopecia angel podcast, write a review, screenshot it and send it back to us. Once we see your screenshot, then you'll be entered into the raffle, it's that simple.

In any case I wanted to tell you today about my interview with Sherry. Sherry's a past client of the hair and heal program. She not only saw hair growth, but also she has pain that has gone away. She also reversed her hypothyroidism. She also reversed her graves' disease, which is another autoimmune disease.

And for those of you who are in awe of the possibility of even reversing your own alopecia, know that yes, you can reverse many autoimmune diseases and a lot of times, many times it's outside of conventional medicine. And so this is just one more client, one more person as proof that not only can you reverse your alopecia, but also graves' disease, hypothyroidism, and many more.

I know people who have reversed their Hashimoto's, people who have reversed their multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, all of these are super possible. Their colitis, I mean, the list goes on and on and on. There's over a hundred different types of autoimmune diseases and many times, most of the time we can reverse it.

And it's just understanding how, learning the tools and putting in consistent action. Once you do that, then you will see results, right? The other thing I wanted to mention is apologies for this conversation. We skipped around a lot and I had to cut out a little bit of it because we go deep into fertility and we go deep into an emotional part of the interview and so I cut that out just out of privacy and also because I will be talking about fertility again at another point in time.

So I hope you enjoy it and I hope you can see this glimmer of light and how this beautiful client has been dealing with alopecia since she was a young child, and now it just continues to build up and that's just it with autoimmune diseases, they like to buddy up. They like to create more and more diseases if you don't do anything about it and so this is her story and I hope you enjoy it. I look forward to seeing your comments and your reviews. Take care.

Johanna: Well, thank you, Sherry for joining me and everyone at the alopecia angel podcast, awaken to hair growth. I wanted to share your story of alopecia and also if you don't mind asking a couple of questions so that listeners can get an idea and a sense of where you were, why you did the program and what you've seen since.

Sherry: Okay

Johanna: So welcome to the show.

Sherry: Thank you.

Johanna: Yeah, of course. So tell us a little bit about your alopecia, what type it is, for how long have you been battling with it?

Sherry: Um, I got diagnosed with alopecia when I was nine. In between the age of nine to eighteen, I just have bald spots. They would come and go. Um, the end of my hairline would kind of raise up and then it would feel back in.

So all throughout my, you know, kid years, teen years, you know, it came and went. And then when I went off to college, when I was 18, Um, that's when I noticed it more with it's falling out and I got extensions in to try and cover up the bald spots and eventually I just didn't have enough hair to, um, you know, have the extensions anymore.

So from there is when I shaved my head, I think I was around nineteen and since then, it's been 15 years of still trying to do research, still trying to figure out why is my body attacking its hair. I don't understand and then that's when I came across your program.

Johanna: And how long ago did you do my program?

Sherry: Um, it's Jan, I think it's been about six months now.

Johanna: Six months and were there any aha moments, were there any clarification as to what's going on within your body?

Sherry: Oh, a hundred percent. Yes.

Johanna: Did you get to the root cause? Did you get to see your blind spots?

Sherry: I am still battling some blind spots. Um, I do have a slow start of hair growth. Um, but I'm still trying to figure out a few of the blind spots.

Johanna: How was the program for you? Was it easy? Was it hard? Was it difficult? Was it challenging? What would you say?

Sherry: In the beginning, it was, not that it was hard, but I had to mentally prepare myself cause I was very fatigued, I was tired, I was low on the energy, you know, but the way your program went and how we went step by step through each way, it, it made it so easy and now it's like, I can never go back.

Johanna: That's great. That's great so you've been six months now, um, since, since doing the program or six months total of doing the program and then since you've done it.

Sherry: I should have looked when I started. I know it was summer, I think it was August, um, when the program started.

Johanna: So almost, almost six months since almost not quite, um, well, fantastic. Well, what encouraged you to join to begin with?

Sherry: Um, I finally got to the point where I had such a known chronic pain. Um, I had aches and pains throughout my whole body that I didn't understand why. Um, I have a young daughter, she stepped in and she would always be like, mom, let's play, let's play and I'd be like, just kind of tired. I just want us to sit here and, you know, try and convince her to watch a movie instead of going outside and playing, knowing then that, you know, something's wrong. I have to make a change and I was to the point where I would do whatever it took to find the answer.

Johanna: Wow. So how soon did you see results of any sale of any sort, whether that was pain or hair or any other changes that you would like to share?

Sherry: Um, I would say just maybe like two weeks into the program is when I started feeling less pain throughout my whole body.

Johanna: It’s amazing

Sherry: And then I think that eyelashes came probably around like six weeks, four to six weeks.

Johanna: Was there any other symptoms that you were having, um, outside of the pain and muscle aches and the hair loss?

Sherry: Yes. Um, I went through a whirlwind of a bunch of different issues. Um, I was having chronic pain in my feet, just maybe four or five years ago and they thought it was rheumatoid arthritis and then they took it back and said, oh no, you just have plantar fasciitis, you know, wear some better shoes.

Eventually my feet did get better so possibly it was just the plantar fasciitis, but still that day, you know, were triggered to another auto-immune disease made me question what was really going on. Then from there, uh, I had an ectopic pregnancy and, um, after that, you know, my hormones were out of whack and I said, okay, something went wrong.

Something's not right, that's when they did my thyroid panel and said that I had hyperthyroidism and graves’ disease. And from there, I was on medication for my thyroid disease for about seven to eight months and then my insurance, all of a sudden just dropped my endocrinologist and said, now they're out of network.

So if you want to continue to see them, then you'd have to pay more money and I said, no. And then that's when I started your program. I said, no, I'm going to kill this on my own and, uh, from there, my, um, all my lab work is completely normal back within range, no issues.

Johanna: So your thyroid is a hundred percent,

Sherry: A hundred percent.

Johanna: And what about the graves' disease? Um, diagnosis, has that been reversed as well?

Sherry: It has, they said that there's still a marker for it, but all my labs are within range and I don't have any other side effects or not side effects, but any of the symptoms that I had prior.

Johanna: Wow. That's huge. That's huge.

Sherry: Huge.

Johanna: So hypothyroidism gone, graves gone, um, all your lab work is A plus and your hair has started to grow back. You have your eyelashes, armpit hair and eyebrows too.

Sherry: A couple. There's probably about, maybe 10 in total.

Johanna: Wow and it's coming through. So it seems like, to me, that you're, I mean, you, you've had an amazing journey because even before the alopecia, did you even know about your Um, about these other possibilities of auto-immune diseases or was this all kind of like sprung upon you last minute?

Sherry: Well, you know, all growing up as a child, I was always told, oh, um, you know, your hair loss, this due to stress and I'm like, I'm nine, I'm not stressed.

Johanna: Yeah, exactly

Sherry: They didn't really explain it to you back then like, oh no. It's not that your stress is that your body is stressed, you know? And it's like, if they were to just explain that a little bit more, cause I'm like, I'm not stressed. They're all, you know, quacks. Like, I don't know what they're talking about, I'm fine and so I went out, I mean my whole life and now I'm 34 now thinking I don't understand. They don't know what they're talking about. I'm not stressed.

Johanna: Yeah and, and that's just, it, I feel like a lot of times doctors want to put a label and just kind of like make everyone else be quiet with that answer or with that response, whether, oh, it's stress, oh, it's age. Oh, it's this, it's that and that's their final answer, but it's not, it's much more than that.

And, um, as you know, having done the program that there's so many different culprits, um, beyond stress stresses just, Um, you know, the tip of the iceberg and there's just so many other lifestyle factors that go along with it. Wow.

Sherry: Yeah.

Johanna: But that's incredible and so at what point did you know that you had a thyroid and graves, and, and all these other things, because as you know, you know, um, when you have one autoimmune disease, they can buddy up and, you know, then you start experiencing more and more issues within, within your body.

Sherry: Um, after I had my ectopic pregnancy, we waited like the eight months that they told you, and we tried getting pregnant again and going to get pregnant. I had infertility issues now. Um, so it's been two and a half years that we've been trying to get pregnant and still haven't been able to so that's when they found out that I had the thyroid diseases.

When I went to my OB and said, hey, you know what happened after we had this issue, you know, after surgery, is there something wrong? You know, can I get pregnant? They did an ultrasound, everything looks great, but I think it was just all the other factors that my body, you know, is so out of whack that it would, I just can't.

I think I eventually can but at the moment, you know, still working through, killing my body probably a year and a half ago. And they've just been telling me ever since, oh, it's your thyroid once you get your thyroid under control, then you should be able to get pregnant. And it's like, well, it's under control now.

Johanna: Um, is there anything else that you would like the listeners to know about in regards to the program or how you feel or your results or any other comments or feedback.

Sherry: Um, gosh, I just think the program is awesome. Uh, the way that you plan it out, step by step, it eventually builds on each other, which makes everything super easy. Um, you know, you always think, oh, I have to switch my whole lifestyle. Like where do I even start? And with your program, it's just like, here's where you start. This is what you do this week. Next week we'll do this and, you know, start implementing everything step by step that builds to this huge picture, which you thought was impossible. And now, you know, looking back, it's like no big deal. It’s easy.

Johanna: Any other words from your doctor in regards to your alopecia? What have they told you in terms of what's possible? What's not possible? and how they can support you?

Sherry: Oh, they just say it's cosmetic at this point.

Johanna: Really?

Sherry: Yeah.

Johanna: Wow.

Sherry: And they told that so many times like, oh, it's cosmetic.

Johanna: So no one can help you?

Sherry: Nobody can help me.

Johanna: That's awful. That's awful. How many doctors did you see for your alopecia? Was it just strictly like GP’s or was it dermatologist as well?

Sherry: Dermatologists as well, since a kid up until now.

Johanna: Nothing. Did they even like, uh, give you or want to give you creams or steroid shots or any of that.

Sherry: Yes, I did the steroid shots then it actually made me lose more hair when they did that. I did that as a teenager. Um, they did the creams, I tried, you know, natural stuff and, but I always told them like, you know, just because I'm putting topical stuff on my head that doesn't fix the issue of why my hair is actually falling out and they would just say, no, just try the crane, do this.

And when I would come back and say, you know, it didn't work, um, there has to be something more, no, you know, just try this, try this. And of course I would eventually just give up on everything and they would try and have me do like Rogaine, but that was a permanent solution. And it wasn't like, oh dude, we're a green and your hair grows back.

It's like, oh, do it forever and then hopefully it stays like, well, no, that's not what I'm looking for.

Johanna: Did you involve them?

Sherry: So I've been trying to do baby steps with her to get her more on a healthier path too. Um, but my husband's not interested. He will eat the same veggies I eat.

Johanna: Any final thoughts to our listeners in regards to you, to the program, to alopecia or anything else that you'd like to leave with?

Sherry: Um, just don't give up, keep searching for answers and then eventually you'll find it and it will change your world.

Johanna: Amen to that. Thank you so much, Sherry, for being on this podcast, I look forward to seeing more of your progress and hearing more of it in the future.

Sherry: Great. Thank you.
