Hi everybody, welcome back to the Alopecia Angel podcast, I am your host Johanna Dahlman. Today we're going to be discussing the 3 things that people don't want you to know about your hair loss. These people more than likely are anyone and everyone around you: society, forums, doctors, dermatologists, and I'll probably add in a bonus because, you know, as I start talking, the more, you know, information and ideas come in.

So I'm just going to let things flow today. So Number 1: Let's get into it. What people do not want you to know about your hair loss is that you can grow your hair back without medication. And this is a big one because that's the only thing that doctors and dermatologists prescribe is medication. They do not prescribe anything else, they do not suggest anything else, they do not offer anything else.

This is one of my biggest issues with seeing dermatologists, with seeing doctors and obviously the same issue and concern that all my clients have gone through as well, because that's the first thing that we all do, right? We go see a doctor and we're given a bunch of meds that are offered to us, creams, potions and lotions, from Rogaine and Minoxidil or whatnot, or steroids and none of this works long term. None of this works without side effects, none of this works for everybody.

You can do this without medications, you can do this 100% naturally and organically. If you don't know me by now, I would highly, highly recommend that you go back and listen to podcast episode number 1 so I can introduce myself formally and you can hear my story. And then from there, you can also listen to the other podcasts that I have in regards to the Hair N' Heal program.

Because not only am I the proof, but my thousands of clients are as well. So you can do this. It doesn't matter age, race identity, what country you're from. It doesn't matter. None of the demographics matter when it comes to hair loss or alopecia because again, we can all heal, but guess what? The big thing that no one's telling you is that it's going to happen, it has to happen, it needs to happen without medication. Your body will not respond well with the medication. At one point, it'll just give out.

I know this because I've had clients who've been on minoxidil for like 20 years, 30 years. And once they come off It's a catastrophe, it's devastation because they're losing all the hair that the minoxidil potentially has grown, but at the same time, there's a slew of side effects that the person is just like overwhelmed and can't deal with it anymore. It's just your body rejects it at some point.

So I hope you understand first and foremost, you can heal, but it's going to be without medications. And this is something that nobody wants you to really understand or realize because they don't want to give you that power to realize that yes, you can heal and you can do this naturally and organically. This is why it's never offered, this is why it's never spoken about, it's never spoken about because you can't necessarily monetize it. You can't put it in a bottle and sell it on the shelves of stores. Does that make sense? So I hope you understand this part because that number 1 is really, really important.

Number 2: What people do not want you to know or understand about your hair loss is that no matter how long you've had it, whether you've had alopecia areata universalis for 20 years, 40 years, 50 years, you can still heal, and many people are so surprised when I say this, so surprised, they're almost dumbfounded. They think that having alopecia is this badge that they have to wear for the rest of their life, and you don't, you don't have to wear this badge, you don't have to wear this sticker saying that: Hey, I'm suffering from hair loss, and You know, I just have to stick with it and live with it and embrace it and just kind of like be with it.

In the past week, I've actually come across a couple people with alopecia. One is a young 21- 22 year old with alopecia universalis and she's had it apparently for 20 years or, you know, along those lines. And her father and herself had a call with me. And they were just flabbergasted at the idea that she could heal. They didn't realize that it didn't matter how long time had passed, that it was still possible for her to heal. And just let me tell you this, you can heal at any point. If you're breathing, and you have a desire to heal, you can heal.

Those are the two caveats. You have to breathe and be alive, and you have to want it. With those two in mind, which, you know, we're all alive, and we're all breathing if you're listening to this. So then the second, you know, caveat to this is like, how much do you want this? Do you want to really heal? Do you want to get all your hair back? Not everybody does. This 20 year old, I could tell she did, and yesterday I was actually at a store and the thing is I just see it when I see things, I see it and I know it and I can name it.

When you see a bear, you know, it's a bear when I see somebody with alopecia, I know it's alopecia. Me and this young man, he was probably 18, we like met eyes and locked eyes. I was in one aisle and he was in the other and we just locked eyes and I saw he had alopecia areata, but it was going into totalis and yes, I followed him to the checkout counter. And yes, I spoke to him and I approached him and he told me: You know, I've had this since the fourth grade. And I was like, you know you can heal, right?

And the thing is, it's like, this is the first time anyone's given him this idea, this concept, this belief, this opportunity to hear that it's possible for him to heal. Because more than likely, he's been told various times by dermatologists, and maybe even by his own parents, not knowing, or unknowingly telling him this. That: Hey, this is a disease, you got this out of nowhere in fourth grade, and there's no cure. That's just the belief. And that's what he's been told, and that's what he believes, and that's his story.

But guess what? We can change the story. We can change the trajectory of your future, of your life. And I only say this with so much passion because as God is my witness, I would have done anything and everything to not go bald. And I did, I did it all. I truly did it all so that I would not go bald, so that I would not have to change to a new identity of somebody who's bald. Because that was not my destiny. Because that was not the life I wanted to live. Because that is not who I am. So, you have, today, the knowingness, the belief, the understanding that you can heal. It doesn't matter if it's in one month, in 2 months, in 2 years, in 20 years, or in 30 years, or what have you. As long as you're breathing, and as long as you have that desire you can heal. The desire is key.

And I only say this because I've met somebody with alopecia universalis. It was back in the Netherlands when I was living there and he worked at the same company as my husband. And when I met him, you know, he's got this big, beautiful smile. And when I met him, I knew automatically he was alopecia universalis, you know, it's classic, no eyebrows, no eyelashes. And in a man, this is very apparent in women. It's a little trickier because we could put on fake eyelashes, we can micro blade our, our face and our eyebrows, and we can do so much other stuff we can wear a wig, but in a man, it's, it's very apparent.

As, you know, time went by and as I got to know him better, I approached him and I told him I also had alopecia. I also approached him and said: You know what, his name is Marco, Marco, you can also heal, you know, you don't have to live this way. And he's an older gentleman, he's probably in his 40s or 50s. He's a husband, he has kids, who are teenagers and he told me, he's like, I've had alopecia universalis my whole life. He's like: I wouldn't know what to do with the hair if it grew back.

So the only thing that was holding him back from healing was the fear of not knowing what to do with hair on your body, on your eyelashes, on your eyebrows, on your head. For him, it would, it would feel very, apparently, I guess, very uncomfortable, very foreign for him to have to go get a haircut, to have to feel warmth in the winter.

As you know, the purpose of having hair in general, on our bodies, and in our face, and on our head, is to protect us from creepy crawly things to viruses, to bacteria, keeping us warm. It has multiple purposes. It's not just for vanity, it also has a purpose, right? To keep sweat off of your dripping down into your eyes, to keep dirt out of your eyes with your eyelashes, right? Everything, all the hair on our body has a purpose.

He was scratching his head and feeling uncomfortable in this conversation on how like he couldn't even imagine himself with hair because since he was a kid he was universalis. And I told him: Look, it's never too late, if you want it just let me know and I'm happy to help. He never reached out or called back and we always remained friendly and he and I and my family and him are still very friendly, with my husband as well, but he never wanted to heal and that's okay, I respect that.

But as long as you know that you have an option and you're choosing this option, right? There's a big difference when you choose the option of having no hair and you're okay with it versus having not giving or not being given the option or even the idea that's even possible for you. That's a big, big difference. Understanding you have 2 options and taking the route that you choose, so be it. But when you're only given one choice and it's like: Take it and do the best you can, that's not it. That's not reality. That's not truth. That's not living in integrity.

So, going back to the second thing that people do not want you to know is that it doesn't matter how long it's been, you can heal. It doesn't matter. So, take that, understand it, and choose to heal. And as I was saying to this father who was on the call with me with his daughter, I told him, you know, it's very similar to doing anything you want in life, right? Whether it's learning how to drive a car, whether it's learning how to speak French, whether it's losing weight, whether it's running a marathon or anything else. It's never too late to do any of this.

Whether you're 80 years old, 60, 50, or 20, or 10, you can do any of these things at all those ages. You can learn to play the guitar, learn to plant a tree, learn to build a house, you can do so many things. So why would you think it's too late for you to regrow your hair? That's a myth, that's a lie that someone has told you, that is some sort of belief that has I don't know, gotten stuck in your head. And I'm telling you, I've seen people who've had alopecia universalis for 20 years, 40 years, and they've grown their hair back.

So it's possible for you too. But remember, the 2 things that are required is that you're alive and breathing. And number 2, that you want it. You have to want it. So let's go on to number three. The number, the third thing that people do not want you to know about your hair loss.

The number 3 thing that people do not want you to know about your hair loss is that this disease, autoimmune disease, or your hair loss in general, whether it's telogen effluvium, diffuse, whether it's hormone, thyroid, stress related, COVID related, whether it's anything else in terms of hair loss or the autoimmune put to sleep, that this can be reversed, that this can be mitigated once and for all, and you can put the kibosh on this. Let me go a little further and say, you can even mitigate normal hair loss in terms of, let's say, postpartum hair loss.

We all think, most people think in general, and I know general statements are not the healthiest, but in general, most people know and understand that when you give birth, you have postpartum hair loss. Well, hello people. I never had postpartum hair loss. Why? Because I know how to mitigate hair loss. I know how to not have it, how to not go through it. And this is exactly what I teach you inside the Hair N' Heal program. So you can put the kibosh once and for all on all your hair loss issues. So that you never ever have to go through it again. Never. This is the whole point, once you learn it, you don't have to go back.

And so, let me just say this. Once you drive a car, do you need help on driving the car again? No, you don't. You already know how to drive the car and for most of us, it's probably an automatic. In Europe, I had to learn how to, how to drive stick shift and I'll say the first time I learned how to drive stick shift, it was on a hilly road in Italy and I was causing a lot of traffic.

This was almost 10 years before I actually had to, I was forced to drive my husband to the train station so that he can grab his flight and, you know, it was early in the morning, so thankfully it was like a Sunday, a Sunday or Saturday morning, early in the morning, so nobody was out on the streets.

But using the information that I had 10 years prior is what I used to be able to take him to the train station and come back home in a stick shift car. So it's muscle memory, even if it's been 20 years that you haven't ridden a bicycle or drove a car. Automatically everything comes back to you. That's exactly what happened to me when I had to drive my husband to the train station.

The same thing happens once you learn how to heal and reverse your hair loss and mitigate any and all situations with your hair loss for the future, then guess what? You won't experience it anymore, just like you'll be able to pick up the keys and drive any car, whether it's an SUV, whether it's a small Fiat, or whether it's like a big Hummer, you'll be able to drive it. And so the same thing happens here.

Once you learn exactly what it is that's keeping you, you in particular from seeing the hair growth that you want, then you can mitigate that for life. And you know what? No one told me this. No one shared these 3 things with me, and so I'm sharing them with you now, because it's so important to understand that what we've been told is false. What we've been led to believe is false. What textbooks say is false. And the education gap is wide. I could probably add on more, but let me leave you with those 3 things. And just to summarize, let's quickly do this.

Number 1: You can grow back your hair, but it's gonna be without meds, it has to be without meds and it needs to be without meds. Number 2: That no matter how long you've had your hair loss situation, whether it's autoimmune or other, you can heal this. There's 2 caveats. You have to be alive and you have to want it. If you want it, fantastic, because you can do this in less time. 90% of my clients see hair loss in less than 8 weeks. And number 3: The third thing that people do not want you to know is that regardless of your autoimmune disease or your situation, you can put this to sleep and you can put the kibosh on your alopecia, on your hair loss once and for all.

And I guarantee you that when you follow the Hair N' Heal strategy and program, when you understand all the things that are tailored to you in order to support your body, you will thrive in more ways than one. Hair growth is the aspect, but there's so many other

things in which your body upgrades. And again, the takeaway from all this is that you have that power, so take your power and use it. Take your power and decide what you want.

Do you want your hair? Do you want your hair growth? Or do you want to be like that gentleman back in the Netherlands? That he's happy as a clam being alopecia universalis. He's happy because he fears hair actually at this point, he doesn't know what to do with it. Or do you want the opposite? Do you want your hair growth? Because you can have either or. You get to choose, and at the end of the day, it is a choice. Healing is a choice, the struggle is a choice, it's all a choice.

You can choose to heal and be done with this. And move on and keep going into your life. Living your best life, doing your activities, dating, having fun, seeing friends, or you can continue living how you are now with the hair loss, with the alopecia, with the isolation, with the struggles, with the ancillary situation of health conditions that come along with it, with the depression, with the anxiety, with the angst. With having to buy wigs or not wear wigs or use, you know, topical creams or not use topical creams, or you know what I mean? You get to decide it's all a choice, but you can have it. You can have your hair once and for all.
